Over the past few years, I have had the opportunity to travel most of the globe: Europe, Asia, Africa, Central America, North America, and the Austral Realm.
It is hard for me to believe all that I’ve been able to see and hear. I have heard languages with clicking within them. I have been the first foreigner in a mountainous remote village in central Asia. I have seen and worked with underground churches in China and Cambodia. I have seen and been able to work with churches thriving in Sicily and the USA. I have met hit men, Mafiosi, thugs, smugglers, politicians, artists, Christians, Hindus, Atheists, agnostics, Catholics, murderers, mothers, daughters, sons, fathers, friends, and enemies.
All of these people, places, and events have shaped me.
They have changed me.
My perspective on poverty has changed. My perspective on living has changed. My perspective on dying has changed. My perspective on being the church has changed. My perspective on family has changed.
But one thing has not.
My perspective on God and His greatness has not changed. It has only grown clearer.
I AM will always be I AM. He is and will always be all-powerful. He is God.
Pain and suffering are nothing in comparison to HIS love. This world may seem cruel, beautiful, dying, and so much more, but the answer is staring us all in the face. I AM.
He is the answer this world needs. He is the change this world needs. He is the hope that we have and rely on. There is nothing in this world that compares to Him and His power.
He is the very thing that resolves, gives meaning to, and defines our very existence.
We serve a great and wonderful God.
