Chris Swinford serves as the preaching minister and evangelist at Faith Village. he has been blessed to teach and preach full time for over 30 years in churches of Christ. With his wife Brenda, he has preached in Happy and Shamrock, Texas and Portales, New Mexico, served as a missionary in Donetsk, Ukraine, served as an evangelist in Fort Worth, taught and coached at Fort Worth Christian High School and served as an instructor of evangelism and Vice President of Advancement at Sunset International Bible Institute. Chris continues to teach evangelism classes at Sunset in Lubbock, Texas. Chris and Brenda met and married at Lubbock Christian University. Chris and Brenda have two sons: Alan, with his wife Haylee, are house parents at Tipton Children’s Home and Daniel who works at Texas Tech University. Chris and Brenda have three grandsons: Gavin, Kieran and Josiah. Their greatest blessing is the continuing faithfulness of their children and grandchildren to God and the Lord’s Church. Chris has degrees in Bible, Communication, Leadership, Psychology, Christian Education and Church Administration. Chris enjoys reading, Bible study, sports, spending time with his kids and grandkids and sharing the good news of Christ.
